Dark Chocolate Advent Calendars

Over the past few years dark chocolate advent calendars have become increasingly popular as adults choose to get in on all the fun too and men and women tend to be more accepting of the intense flavours that you can get from dark chocolate than children who tend to prefer the milk chocolate varieties.

The problem is that chocolate companies have been very slow to catch on to the increased demand and there are still very few dark chocolate advent calendars on sale in this country. Below I’ve listed the ones that I could find. I’ll keep an eye out and add others as they come along.

My favourite just has to be the Ultimate Dark Chocolate Advent Calendar from Hotel Chocolate which are just fine purveyors  of luxury chocolate gifts. It will set you back £17 but if you really needed to impress a loved-one then this has to be the dark variety of calendar to get.  Obviously there’s 24 dark chocolates inside and is in a book format with a beautiful design which would look great in any living room. It’s also got very interesting chocolate figurines inside which I expect are very similar to their dark chocolate Halloween gifts which I’ve reviewed before. Even at 70% they won’t be too bitter for most people and would be good if  you’re tempted to get a friend or lover some dark chocolate but are concerned it could be too bitter.
